Hello friends! Happy Fall!
I want to share something with you that I have been involved with for over a year now…something that is close to my heart and the hearts of some dear friends, a ministry called Shama Women.
Shama Women is a ministry founded in South Asia that teaches young women a trade, like cosmetology or sewing, so that they can support themselves instead of turning to prostitution, while at the same time teaching them about Jesus Christ.
Like all schools, it requires funding. For a year, I’ve supported a young woman’s education at Shama for only $10 a month!
With the beginning of our western school year, the folks at Shama decided to launch a “back to school” campaign to add 100 monthly donors to their ministry in the month of September. There are just a few days left, so if you or someone you know has been looking for a way to support the Lord’s work overseas, please take a look at Shama Women and this blog post in particular: https://shamawomen.com/backtoschool/
If nothing else, please be in prayer for Shama Women. There is a long waiting list of women who are longing to find a way to support themselves with dignity. And there are loving people at Shama waiting to teach them about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Thanks for reading! ‘Til next time!
