Reading: “Les Miserables” – THIS IS A BIG DEAL. When I was seven, I would look upon my dad’s copy of this book with awe. It’s an old penguin paperback with a dark picture of a hairy man drinking and smoking at a table covered with a white cloth. It is about as thick as my fist and is daunting to behold. At that young age, I thought that nothing would be more mature than reading it. So, even though there are prettier editions and more recent translations from the original French, I am reading THAT copy of “Les Miserables” and it is a BIG DEAL!
Drinking: Water & Black Tea – These are really the only things I drink regularly. The black tea is Vanilla Almond from the Republic of Teas (my favorite), and the water is filtered Ohio rainfall. Of course, with summer around the corner, I’m starting to salivate thinking of all the lemonade-y drinks in my future!
Watching: Too many things… my sister and I are on a rotation of Smallville, West Wing, Dr. Who (Matt Smith’s seasons), and The Crown. I did just start Death Comes to Pemberley on Netflix the other night. It’s good so far!
Feeling: Contemplative…this is my natural state. I can analyze the heck out of my own thoughts and feelings. Right now, I’m thankful for the work that the Lord is doing on my heart through my pursuit of joy this year. Joy was my word for 2017, and I am desperately trying to learn what it means to live joyfully (more on this later). What does it mean to you?
Making: A big deal out of reading “Les Miserables,” Also… about 40 new pieces of jewelry. My goal for the end of May is to have 100 pieces listed in my Etsy shop and the Sel Rosé website.
Listening to: At this very second – “Be Still My Soul” by Sandra McCracken. Whoop, just changed to “Fresh Eyes” by Andy Grammer.
Wanting: To feel more courageous about my business. There’s nowhere to go but up, unless I chicken out and let my fears kill the forward momentum.
Loving: One of the most beautiful springs I have ever seen!
Thanks for reading!
