Books, books, books! I love reading and I love reading lists. Over the last two years, I have been trying to read large doses of literature from one particular list of classics only. I have chosen a number of self-help books, as well, but my reads were pretty much limited to those two categories. It was very organized and strategic and daunting. This year, I’m breaking free!!!
“SOOOAAARIN’! FLYYYYIN’! THERE’S NOT A STAR IN HEAVEN THAT WE CAN’T REACH!!!!!!
There were so many other genres I wanted to pull from and so many books I was waiting to read until I had finished that list. The funny thing is, I know that when I fuel my love for reading with books I’m excited about, I will read even more. So, by freeing myself up to read whatever I feel like, I know I’ll also get through that list of classics faster!
Here are some of the books I really want to read this year (or not, if I don’t feel like it!):
-The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
-Rules of Civility by Amor Towles
-Nicholas Nickleby by Charles Dickens
-Purple Cow by Seth Godin
-A Year in Provence by Peter Mayle
-The Power of Full Engagement by Jim Loehr & Tony Schwartz
-North & South by Elizabeth Gaskell
-Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
-A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway
-Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell
-The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins
-The Firm by John Grisham
-Capital Gaines by Chip Gaines
(and all the ones in the photo above)
What’s on your reading wishlist this year!?
